Situated in the very south of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, Domaine Cornin is a 10 hectare, family run estate based in the village of Chaintré. The entire domaine is farmed following biodynamic principles, with the Cornin family making very conscious attempts throughout their production process to leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. For more than a decade now, their land has also been cultivated without the use of chemical herbicides, in an effort to produce healthy, and more importantly, natural grapes, which in turn produce stunning wines. Funded by Dominique Cornin in 1993, the domaine is now in the very capable hands of his son Romain, one of the youngest on a new generation of wine producers in the Mâconnais.

POUILLY-FUISSÉ LES CHEVRIÈRES

Vivid fruit appears immediately, with notes of ripe yellow apple, juicy pear and an edge of nutmeg and cream. The palate also conveys ripe fruit and creaminess, adding a balancing, lemony tang. This wine is bright and refreshing. ANNE KREBIEHL MW
